How does the recycling program work?
Greener Corners offers a truly unique and compelling value proposition by assuming the full life-cycle of a customer’s public recycling requirements – from site selection, installation, advertising sales, site maintenance, material hauling, recycling, and data tracking of the recycling progress.
FREE RECYCLING BINS, ROUTINE CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:
Greener Corners’ free recycling bins are both aesthetically pleasing and user friendly. These state-of-the-art bins come standard with separate openings designed to avoid contamination, and clearly marked with labels distinguishing intended materials
Everything from bin design and color to number of openings is fully customizable, allowing us to match your current streetscape.
As part of our Maintenance Team responsibilities, Greener Corners is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and repairing all recycling bins, including a 24-hour emergency response service.
Along with providing the public with a place to recycle when they are out and about, our recycling bins will become an attractive icon for any community, representing cleaner, greener streets.
RECYCLING EDUCATION AND AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS:
No public space recycling program is complete without an extensive education and awareness campaign aimed at residents, businesses, and visitors. Our Green Team is a walking, talking public awareness campaign made up of local community volunteers recruited by Greener Corners. We supply all Green Team members with our Green Team attire, ensuring that they are visible to passers-by. The Green Team will be positioned at high-profile recycling bin locations to direct public attention towards effective recycling practices. The Green Team also visits local schools, civic centers, and community organizations to promote the benefits of recycling.
To engage our community members, Greener Corners offers its QR Code Education feature. This barcode in placed on the “Recyclables” label can be scanned by any smartphone and immediately directs the user to a webpage that shows what can be recycled your community. This is a fun, interactive way to involve your community in its new program and will help us achieve our goal of a comprehensive recycling movement.
Greener Corners is always developing innovative ways to increase interaction and participation from community members. Our mobile applications help individuals keep track of their own recycling efforts, converting materials into Environmental Benefits like saved trees.. These free applications complement our education and awareness campaigns. Our updated iPhone application is available on the App Store here.

Greener Corners has teamed up with the Environmental Protection Agency to provide you with up-to-date progress on your public space recycling program through our quarterly Community Impact Report.

NEW REVENUE STREAM AND LOCAL BUSINESS PROMOTION:
The Greener Corners’ recycling program includes a shared revenue agreement with your community generated from sales of local business promotion on the sides of the recycling bins. All sponsorships are tasteful, cost-effective, and interactive. Greener Corners manages this aspect of the program, handles all graphic designs and print, and gives your community 100% control of the content.
The local business community now has the opportunity to show their Green side and support the recycling initiative. In addition to this new revenue stream, your community will also benefit from the reduction of its overall waste tonnage – a true “win-win”!
